1. What Sturdy is — and isn't

Sturdy is a coaching service for parents, delivered through text messages, email, and this website. Sturdy provides coaching and educational content generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Sturdy is not therapy, medical care, legal advice, or a substitute for any of them. If you or your children are experiencing a crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency services.

2. Who can use Sturdy

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to use Sturdy. The service is intended for your personal, non-commercial use.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Sturdy costs $49 per month, billed through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
• You can cancel anytime from your settings. Cancellation stops future charges; your access continues through the end of the paid period.
• 30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not satisfied in your first month, email trust@sturdy.family within 30 days of your first charge for a full refund.
• Founding-member pricing is locked for as long as your subscription remains active.

4. Text messaging

By subscribing, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Sturdy at the number you provide. Message frequency varies (up to two per day). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase — you can use Sturdy through the web app alone.

5. Your content and your data

You own the information you share with Sturdy. We use it only to provide your coaching, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from settings.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sturdy to harass anyone, to attempt to obtain advice for harming any person, to build a legal case against another person, or to probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service. Sturdy is designed to de-escalate conflict; coaching that would escalate it will be declined.

7. AI-generated content

Coaching responses are generated by artificial intelligence informed by the information you provide. AI can make mistakes. Sturdy's coaching is general parenting support, not professional advice tailored to circumstances a licensed professional should evaluate. Use your own judgment; you know your family best.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Sturdy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sturdy's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or text before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
