Your family file is encrypted at rest and in transit. It's readable by the coaching engine when it writes to you — and by nothing and no one else.
Coaching is generated by AI against your file. During our beta, the founder may review a sampled or flagged conversation — including interview transcripts — to keep the coaching sharp. Account holders can opt out in settings; the interview page tells you this upfront.
Your data is sent to our AI provider under a zero-training agreement. Your family's story makes your coaching better — nobody's model smarter.
One button in settings erases your file, your messages, and your briefs from live systems immediately; encrypted backups age out within 7 days. No exit interview, no retention games.
Texts come from a neutral number with no branding in the sender name. Initials work fine instead of your kids' names. Nothing we send identifies what Sturdy is.
Sturdy is coaching. If a conversation touches crisis — yours or your kids' — we stop coaching and connect you to real humans: 988, local resources, or your own professionals.
Your file is never shared with anyone — not a partner, not a co-parent, not a school, period. The one exception is yours to make: in settings you can choose to send your weekly Sunday brief to a partner in your household, and stop anytime. If we ever receive a legal demand for data, we notify you before responding unless the law forbids it — and we retain the minimum needed to run your coaching, so there's little to demand.
Sturdy never coaches you against your partner, co-parent, or anyone else in your kids' lives, never drafts a hostile message, and never helps build a "case." Every reply it drafts is one you'd be comfortable reading aloud to the whole family — that's the standard, by design.
